Risk & Regulatory Consultant
Your role
As Risk & Regulatory Consultant, you’ll oversee a broad spectrum of risk management topics in this 1st Line Non-Financial Risk role - from strategic design to day-to-day execution. You’ll act as a bridge between the business and second-line risk management, ensuring regulatory expectations are met in an innovative and scalable way.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Designing and maintaining a fit-for-purpose risk control framework, including defining risk appetite and monitoring through key risk indicators (KRIs), together with the team
- Translating (new) regulations into smart, agile implementation strategies that balance innovation and compliance
- Advising product teams on risks and opportunities, and supporting strategic decision-making
- Promoting a strong risk culture by organizing workshops, awareness sessions and knowledge sharing across teams
- Leading incident coordination and crisis management, ensuring clear communication and timely solution
About you

We’re looking for someone who:
- Holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, risk management, IT or a related field.
- Has either 3 or 5 years’ relevant experience in risk management or related domain (note there are two positions - one for a Risk Manager with 3 years and one with 5 years experience)
- Has ideally gained experience within consultancy for the fintech sector, or who possesses risk management experience gained within the fintech / digital banking space
- Understands risk frameworks, process management, and ideally has some knowledge of privacy, fraud prevention and risk-related processes for onboarding of new clients
- Communicates effectively with senior stakeholders, regulators and auditors.
- Thinks strategically and analytically, and has a "hands-on" attitude - you'll be dealing with various risk topics, requiring flexibility and adaptability
- Speaks and writes Dutch and English fluently, however non-Dutch speakers with relevant experience will also be considered.

What's on offer
- Salary up to €75.400,- (3 years of experience) or €86.300,- (5 years of experience) per year, based on a 36-hour workweek.
Both amounts include an 11% benefit budget, paid monthly and optionally convertible into extras such as an e-bike or additional holiday leave. A 40-hour contract is also possible, with the above salaries adjusted on a pro-rata basis. - 25 + 2 days of annual leave.
